I really couldnt even pay attention much to the art. The art itself is really great when you finally decide to skip the flashy stuff, but the slideshow of your art is pretty terrible. It actually hurt my eyes. ;_; Try a bit harder to not kill your viewers next time. :P

the crappy drawing settings you used show very well. (just look at how lumpy it all is), as does your inexperience at animation, drawing, and physics. Keep at it, because you must have done something right to have frontpage. -_-

Perhaps you would like to define inexperienced. Physics in itself need not apply in animation unless you are aiming for realism.

I am absolutely amazed...

I grew so attached to all of the characters, I actually cried for them at step 4. This is a genuinely great story, pushing aside voice-acting and drawn out scenes to instead give this grandly emotional story. From the girl's passion, to the guy's determination to her, and the rebel's dedication to his friends, I was touched by this. There is nothing but good things to be said from this.

Synapses: A good animation with some pretty distracting flaws....

Animation: it was mostly good, but at times it would lack easing.

Art: Your art varied from simple to cluttered throughout the animation, and you messed up some angles as well.

Sound: The music did not match the animation after the first scene. I think you should have spent more time syncing these two up.

Overall: All-in-All it didnt hold me in. The music detached me from the animation, and some bad animation further pushed me away from enjoying the mood you were trying to set.

poor...

sorry, but the only animation was short transitions from basically tweens. Not only that, but your characters were simply empty catalysts to a poorly thought-out storyline. You need to make sure that every frame your characters are dynamicly moving, or else you end up wiht a picturebook animation. Good art, despite the fact that the style was a little too simplistic in parts. (especially since this was done by hand) I wouldnt complain about the storyline and tween-esque animation if it wasnt for the fact that no true fighting took place. The whole time they were doing cheap dash strikes, with a light burst to show they hit. That is a poor choice, and it showed clearly.

great imitation...

I loved the trailer. It had a great feel, and bringing up things like Y going up to the E, who was the king of consanants, and being surrounded by japanese letters gave it the authentic Pixar feel. Great comedy, great voiceacting, great trailer.

I loved it....although some parts transitioned in too fast compared to the rest. Keep it up, man!

intelligent poster, obscured message...I guess...

By the looks of your description, you are intelligent, but you coulda made a more radical message if you thought a bit more. :\ I get the point of this, you wasting time, but c'mon, show how much you hate mario, not how much you like mushrooms and dick. (really show it, with blood and gore, and some ironic death that would suit a small midgit wearing a plumbing outfit who chases hookers in fake princess outfits)
